Description

The main challenge with Desjardins Asset Management was to present the group’s three divisions, all very different, in a format consistent with the corporate image and the services offered.

The Real Estate Investments segment had to be able to offer internal and outside clients the full breadth of a Canada-wide portfolio worth nearly on billion dollars. The Mortgage Investments and Corporate Financing segment had to be able to make its service offering known to investors. And the Securities Investments segment had to be able to maintain a certain level of confidentiality in regard to information provided. This division wanted to be able to present a complete array of savings and corporate fund products in the form of individual modules.

The clientele tended to be corporate clients, some of them located overseas, and the whole thing needed to be presented in a user-friendly, efficient-to-use format. We also had to leave room for expansion of sections on real estate and corporate fund portfolios, with fast and simple update capability.

To maintain its position among the best in the business, Desjardins Asset Management had to present and position itself on the Web in professional fashion, relying on the excellence of its products and services and the expertise of its men and women.

Evolution

Site design was based primarily on a segmentation of information architecture whereby best practices were applied to present information in a user-friendly, easy-to-find format meant to encourage daily consultation of the modules presented.

The Website showcases corporate and investment divisions through a dynamic, accessible storefront.

The assets of the real estate portfolio are presented in the form of a catalogue of properties including a description, which can be sorted by region and by type of building. With photographs of the properties included, users can get a quick idea of quality and value.
As for the corporate fund, it is presented in the form of modules that are accessible through a section-specific menu that is integrated into the page and arranged according to fund group. Thus, it will be easy to add additional modules throughout the year.
The content management environment was designed to let the staff of Desjardins Asset Management update content on their own.
