Description

Place des Arts is a public corporation in the business of presenting performing arts to the public. As a presenter of cultural events, Place des Arts offers organizations and producers ticketing services for ticket sales. Established in 1996, the first-generation storefront Website was no longer aligned with current expectations and was therefore in need of refurbishing in order to be competitive and to maximize commercial usage of the Internet. A new ticketing software package also had to be installed and integrated into the new Website, both technologically and graphically.

Evolution

OVERHAUL OFTHE TRANSACTIONAL WEBSITE—The Place des Arts Website was segmented according to the profiles of the primary users—spectators, producers and media. Right from the home page, each of these target clienteles can access sections of the Website with value-added content specific to their needs. The solution encompasses integration of the new online ticketing system, which will facilitate Web-based ticket sales for shows. The solution also aims to provide for complete autonomy in regard to site updates and content management.
